JOB SUMMARY:

  • This role will focus on developing creative product displays and layouts for various product categories within our stores, working closely with the Brand and Retail teams to maintain consistency across all touchpoints. You will collaborate with the Retail Operations team to ensure a strong connection between design, functionality, and customer experience.
  • Working in alignment with the Decathlon Brand Platform and Visual Merchandising Guidelines, you will support our teams in designing and implementing visual solutions that enhance product visibility, improve the customer journey, and boost overall sales performance. This will involve close collaboration with Store Managers, Retail Designers, and other stakeholders to ensure your designs are both aesthetically pleasing and operationally effective.
  • On a strategic level, you will develop guidelines, toolkits, and visual assets to empower teams with the tools needed to implement merchandising strategies consistently across different locations and channels.
  • Your expertise in design, layout, and spatial organization will be essential. You will be recognized for your strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and innovative approach to merchandising.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Layout Design Solutions:

  • This role involves collaborating to design impactful store layouts, developing engaging product placements and visual focal points aligned with marketing and brand strategies. Using 3D modeling, the individual will create detailed plans, conceptualize innovative showroom setups, and continuously assess and optimize store layouts based on customer flow and product performance.


2. Cross-Functional Collaboration.


  • This role demands close collaboration with marketing, product, and retail teams to craft compelling visual merchandising strategies that drive sales and promotions. Working alongside store managers and retail operations, the individual ensures consistent visual storytelling across all locations. They'll also partner with product branding and sports domain teams to seamlessly integrate new products and seasonal campaigns into store layouts. Furthermore, the role involves providing essential guidance and support to store teams, ensuring effective implementation and troubleshooting in the field. 

3. Continuous Improvement & Trend Awareness

  • This position requires continuous monitoring of global and local retail design trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies to infuse fresh, innovative ideas into store layouts and visual merchandising. Utilizing customer behavior analysis and feedback, data-driven decisions will shape layout design and merchandising strategies. The role also involves leading in-store experiments and A/B testing, evaluating performance through real-time data and customer insights to continuously improve merchandising effectiveness.

PROFILE:

  • We are seeking a Mid-Level Professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, supported by a background in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, or Retail Design.
