Mission

1. Customer Experience & Sales Performance

  • Champion the Customer: Deliver an outstanding omni-channel shopping experience, welcoming, informing, and advising customers both in-store and online (e.g., via chat, phone, or video consultation).

  • Sporting Expertise: Act as the technical expert for your assigned sport(s), offering personalized advice on products and sporting techniques.

  • Achieve Targets: Drive sales and performance for your sport(s) by understanding customer needs, recommending appropriate products, and achieving individual and team commercial objectives.

  • After-Sales Service: Efficiently manage customer returns, exchanges, and warranty claims, ensuring a seamless and positive resolution.

2. Retail Operations & Merchandising

  • Product Availability: Ensure the correct stock level and presentation of products in your assigned area, utilizing modern inventory management tools.

  • Merchandising Excellence: Implement and maintain visually appealing and informative merchandising displays that highlight product features, prices, and technical advantages.

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the store and all display areas, adhering to all company policies and procedures.

3. Omni-Channel & Digital Contribution

  • Digital Engagement: Actively participate in the development and animation of your sport's local online presence (e.g., updating product pages, sharing content, managing click-and-collect orders).

  • Seamless Fulfillment: Process and prepare online orders for delivery or in-store pickup efficiently and accurately.

  • Feedback Loop: Collect and relay customer and product feedback to store leadership and relevant product development teams to drive continuous improvement.

4. Teamwork & Personal Development

  • Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments to ensure store success and share best practices.

  • Sporting Ambassador: Actively participate in and organize local sporting events and initiatives to promote sport and the Decathlon brand within the community.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest sporting trends, products, and retail technologies.

Profile

  • Passion for Sport: You are a regular and passionate practitioner of at least one sport.

  • Customer Focus: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong drive to serve customers.

  • Proactive & Organized: Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a high level of organization.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment that embraces both physical and digital sales channels.

  • Language Skills: Proficiency in local language (e.g., English) is essential; additional languages are a plus.

  • Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per retail needs.
