TEAM BACKGROUND

You will be a part of the Marketing & Communication team at Decathlon, with a specific focus on driving the performance marketing digital channels. You will contribute to acquiring new customers and improve the ROAS of the performance campaigns.

JOB ROLE

The ability to drive higher performance for our omnichannel sales across the stores,web and app, through strategic approaches on digital marketing channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1/ Manage and Develop the Digital Performance Channels

  • Ownership of Top-line building channels like Youtube, Google Shopping/Pmax, Google Search, Google Remarketing, Instagram etc.

  • Continuously chase ambitious targets of ROAS while maintaining min Top Line thresholds

  • Build effective journeys of remarketing to reduce the overlaps and shorten the touchpoints to convert.

  • Exploration of new channels to drive Performance Marketing.

  • Efficient and automated reporting framework of the investment and results.

2/ Be an actor of your channel ecosystem 

  • Owner mindset, willingness to take initiatives and accountability to drive closures

  • Be the key contact window between Users and the technical team
  • Challenge the day to day growth of the digital business at the service of user satisfaction.

  • Develop, through your posture, a collaborative working methodology, an environment of trust and responsibility among the product team

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

  • Passion for sport, you like to enjoy sport with your teammates

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong sense of responsibility, autonomy and drive for results

  • Recognized capacity to understand business needs, bring structure in a complex environment and lead action plans

  • Strong data analysis skills, ability to perform data analysis and make data-driven decisions

  • You are a technology enthusiast, you care about how things work and you can successfully collaborate with technical experts.

  • You are well versed with Google adwords and channels.

  • A prior experience in performance marketing / e-commerce is required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the digital marketing/performance marketing

  • Prior experience in performance marketing agencies or Ecommerce is a plus 

  • A Masters degree in marketing is a plus.

CASE STUDY ASSIGNMENT (Please submit your application along with case study)

We are launching a range of products for Basketball that historically has not been the best performer online. The products are primarily basketball, jerseys and shoes. We are launching this in April 2026. Your job, as the performance marketing manager is to make sure that we drive maximum online sales for this range during this time. You have a budget of around INR 25 lacs.

  • Prepare a 360-degree media plan with all performance-focused channels, distribution of spends/investments and expected revenue (1 slide)

  • Strategies for audiences and targeting on each of the channels  (1 slide)

  • Define how much would you spend on different geos (mentioned below) (1 slide)

  • Strategies the communication & creative strategy (1 slide)

Some information that is handy with you –

  • We have 4 major markets – Bangalore, Delhi/NCR, Pune & Mumbai. App & Web traffic is 50:50

  • On the app, our conversion rate is around 3.5%

  • On the web, our conversion rate is around 2%
