You will be a part of the Marketing & Communication team at Decathlon, with a specific focus on driving organic customer growth. 

Profile

OVERVIEW

As a social media manager , you will be the spokesperson of Decathlon on the social platforms. You will be responsible for starting strategic conversations which reflect and propagate  our purpose of ‘making people experience the wonders of sport’.

You will be responsible for amplifying the brand presence, reach and engagement - organically  in the social communities.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement and execute Decathlon’s social media strategies.

  • Create/ curate and write content that reflects the brand ethos and create social engagement.

  • Work with the sports & communications team to devise campaigns and tailor content strategy as per each social platform.

  • Showcase excellent editorial judgment in finding  stories and crafting narratives  from the ecosystem of Decathlon.

  • While managing the current active channels, keep an eye out for the dynamic evolution of other upcoming touchpoints/platforms. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies and influencers.

  • Create social content to support social across Brand campaigns, weekly focuses and daily conversation. 

  • Manage page health and ORM. Work on a community building strategy and execute from scratch.

  • Strategically implement influencer marketing, and discover relevant macro-, micro-and nano-influencers that will improve brand reach & awareness.

  • Manage social media communications calendar.

  • Continuously improve by capturing & analysing the appropriate social metrics, insights and best practices, and then sharing recommendations with the core team.

  • Manage influencer and content agencies.

  • Be a hyper vigilant brand guardian for any content created by or on Decathlon Sports India. 

About you :

  • You are a sports enthusiast and keep yourself aware of all major sports events.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with key social media channels such as Twitter, Facebook, Quora, Instagram, and LinkedIn

  • Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business and/or related fields.

  • You have proven social media marketing experience and have worked with influencer/ community outreach programmes. You understand SEO & traffic metrics.

  • You should have an in-depth understanding of various social media platforms and emerging trends in digital marketing

  • You have a deep passion for storytelling, clear communication & effective writing.

  • You participate in creative brainstorms informed by research, and bring concepts to life.

  • You create content that connects with your audience on an emotional level and instills pride in internal teammates including yourself.

  • You are insight & data-driven and base your decisions on the same. 

  • You speak the language of your audience and are intuitive to pick on the emotions, trends & conversations.

  • You have the ability to understand brand voice and communicate that brand voice effectively.
