Team Background:

As part of Decathlon India's Marketing & Communication team, you will collaborate closely with a creative group of designers, content specialists, and sports enthusiasts. You will work on creating visual content tailored specifically to the Indian market, working with sports teams, the E-commerce department, and broader marketing efforts. Your work will ensure cohesive and compelling communication across digital, physical, and social channels.

Profile

Job Summary:

The Communication Designer will play a key role in shaping Decathlon Sports India's brand presence by creating engaging visual and video content across multiple channels. Working closely with store teams, online teams, and marketing verticals, the role involves designing compelling campaigns, crafting impactful motion graphics, and producing high-quality videos. The goal is to build brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and enhance Decathlon’s storytelling through creative multimedia content.

Responsibilities:

1. Visual & Campaign Design

  • Conceptualize and design end-to-end marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment across digital, print, and in-store channels.

  • Develop visually engaging layouts for visual assets across social media, websites, emails, RCS, WhatsApp, and in-store branding while ensuring brand consistency.

  • Work on seasonal promotions, product launches, and brand campaigns to enhance visibility and engagement.

  • Design promotional materials for events, product launches, and commercial sales.

2. Video & Motion Graphics Creation
  • Produce high-quality videos and motion graphics for marketing campaigns, product promotions, and brand storytelling.

  • Edit and enhance video content for social media, in-store screens, and advertising platforms using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

  • Work on short-form videos (reels, ads) and long-form content (brand films) to drive audience engagement.

 3. Print and In-store Communication
  • Design print materials, including posters, hoardings, banners, POS materials, and brochures, maintaining strong visual identity.

  • Optimize in-store branding through digital touchpoints and interactive content.

  • Ensure brand consistency and messaging coherence across physical and digital touchpoints.

4. Cross-Team Collaboration & Execution
  • Work closely with marketing, retail, e-commerce, and sports teams to align campaign messaging and execution.

  • Adapt campaign designs based on insights from performance metrics, customer engagement, and feedback.

  • Manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality creative output.

Requirements:1. Education & Experience
  • A degree in Graphic Design, Visual communication, Multimedia, or a related field.

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in graphic design and video editing, preferably in retail, advertising, or media.

  • A portfolio of previous advertising/print/digital work is a must.

2. Technical Skills
  • Graphic Design: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

  • Video Editing & Motion Graphics: Strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other video editing tools.

  • Typography & Layout: Understanding of effective design composition, color theory, and branding.

  • Gen Ai: Leverage Gen Ai and new trends in design to optimise designs.

3. Attitude & Values

    While the final design you propose is essential, we would like to see the process involved in arriving at the solution(s). Please send us a document that shows the same in terms of explorations/sketches/storyboard/notes. The work you share can be in any medium – however, also include visual elements (color palette, textures, forms, typography, etc.) for the design concept that you have chosen to work on.

    ONE :

    End-to-End Campaign Execution –

    Digital + Print + Video

    Objective: Design a campaign highlighting the wide variety of shoes Decathlon offers

    across sports and everyday needs. The campaign should flow seamlessly across

    digital, print, and video formats while showcasing choice, versatility, and accessibility.

    Tasks:

    Create a campaign identity (logotype, visual theme, and collaterals).

    Design assets for:

    1. Social Media: 2–3 Instagram posts/stories showcasing different shoe categories

    (running, trekking, football, walking, etc.) in each creative.

    2. Website: Homepage banner promoting the shoe range campaign.

    3. Print/In-Store: Choose an in-store medium (poster, standee, flyer, etc.) to highlight

    the width of the shoes collection.

    4. Video Creation: Create a 15-20s promotional video for social media, featuring

    different shoe categories, lifestyle clips, and AI-generated visuals.

    AI Integration:

    - Use AI image generation (e.g., Gemini, MidJourney, Adobe Firefly) to visualize

    range-based concepts.

    - Use AI-based video editing (e.g., Runway ML, KlingAI, Adobe Premiere AI features)

    for faster stitching of shoe categories, transitions, and effects.

    Deliverables:

    1. Moodboard & campaign identity.

    2. Social media posts, website banner & in-store communication.

    3. 15-20s range-focused campaign video.
