The ProjectIn the INDIA CoE (Center of Excellence), you’ll get to work in a brand new team, that aims connecting Finance to the future, thanks to innovative, sustainable and simple solutions. Our team will be a pool of talents, collectively working towards operational excellence and strengthening our partners network.
From your arrival, you’ll be joining the Corporate Finance team of the CoE. You will have a wonderful opportunity to work with any of the Decathlon operational countries in Asia Pacific (APAC) region. We are currently going through a profound Finance Transformation which will top strong foundation for your future opportunities across countries.
Role : Accounting partner - APAC countries
Location : Bangalore, Airport Road, Decathlon Anubhava.
Reporting to : Accounting Leader - COE APAC
Team : COE-APAC Corporate Finance & Accounting
Work pattern: Day shift & Hybrid mode
Your daily jobour main missions will include :
Ensuring reliable accounting and guaranteeing compliance with Group and local accounting standards
Lead the monthly and annual financial closing processes by executing daily and closing-specific tasks
Record, control, and report financial transactions within your area of responsibility.
Review of Financial statements including PL, Balance sheet of a particular country among 10+ Decathlon countries in APAC.
Support statutory audit of standalone financials under IFRS and local GAAP
Partner with cross functional teams as the subject matter expert to ensure financial decisions are guided by sound accounting principles and internal control policies
Conducting monthly controls and analysis, as well as a comprehensive quarterly review of financial statements with the country’s financial controller/FP&A/CVO;
Review of month end accruals, intercompany reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, income statement trend analysis.
Implementing action plans to enhance efficiency and accounting quality within your scope.
Profile
MANDATORY -
With a Master’s degree (CA/ACCA/MBA in Tier-1/ CPA/CMA) in corporate accounting with 5+ years experience.
Past experience of working in GFS/ COE/ GCC/ Shared services environment will be an added advantage
You are rigorous, organized, action-oriented, and thrive on challenges, taking responsibility, and providing excellent customer service.
On the field, you are a team player and give priority to the team overall success.
Ready to lead the change and build the project/systems from scratch.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of key accounting cycles and standards (IND AS/IFRS/US GAAP, R2R, P2P, O2C, treasury, tax, GL accounting, financial reporting)
Proficiency in Excel and google tools.
Stakeholder management. strong communication with EU/APAC teams.
Accounting and reporting tools ( Oracle, Qlik, SAP, Board, work day)
