Are you a creative, energetic wordsmith looking to kick-start your career in content strategy and copywriting? Join Decathlon Sports India for an intensive, Graduation Project as a Content Writing Intern. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your writing skills and passion for storytelling in a fast-paced, real-world retail and digital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Copywriting Support: Draft and edit clear, engaging marketing copy across multiple formats, including website content, product descriptions, and promotional materials while maintaining brand consistency.

• Long-Form Content Creation: Research, write, edit, and upload in-depth articles for the Decathlon Blog, conducting interviews and gathering information to craft SEO-optimized content on sports and fitness.

• Campaign Concept Development: Collaborate on creative brainstorming sessions for upcoming marketing campaigns, helping iterate on initial ideas, explore different narrative angles, and refine core messaging.

• Brand Guardianship: Learn and apply Decathlon's brand voice to ensure messaging remains clear, consistent, and relatable across all written platforms and customer touchpoints.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside senior writers and marketing teams to translate commercial and brand objectives into cohesive, high-impact written copy.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Pursuing or recently completed a degree/certification in Journalism, Mass Communication, English Literature, Marketing, or a related field.

• Writing & Editing Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of writing principles, structural storytelling, grammar, and editing across diverse formats (short-form copy to long-form editorial).

• SEO & Content Strategy: Basic understanding of SEO concepts, keyword integration, and structuring digital articles for search engine readability and audience engagement.

• Digital Native: Familiarity with current digital content trends, blogging platforms, and writing style adaptations for different digital audiences.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive attitude toward receiving feedback and collaborating.

• Portfolio: A portfolio, writing sample collection, or blog showcasing previous editorial, academic, or creative writing work is highly preferred.
