Mission
The RFID Engineer is responsible for end-to-end technical execution, hardware compliance, application integration, and operational reliability of RFID technology across all Decathlon India retail stores and logistics warehouses. This role ensures high billing rates at checkout tills, accurate automated loss prevention via EAS security gates, and seamless supply chain traceability across warehouse inbound/outbound reading tunnels and sorters.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
1:Core Technical Competencies:
RFID Hardware & Infrastructure: Installation, calibration, and maintenance of RFID readers (Sampo S0/S1, Zebra, Impinj), antennas, EAS security gates, handheld scanners, and industrial tunnel readers.
Application & System Integration: Internal RFID Reader application migrations, middleware integration, digital order EPC traceability, and ECOM sorter PPM workflows.
Network & Endpoint Basics: Basic IP networking, switch port configuration for RFID readers, and Windows POS/till endpoint setup.
Field Testing & Quality Control: Store-level reader tuning, antenna power/sensitivity adjustments, tag read rate optimization, and signal interference troubleshooting.
Certifications (Preferred/Targeted):
Certified RFID Supply Chain Professional (CRSCP), Zebra RFID Technical Certification, or equivalent hardware engineering credentials.
Operational Skills:
Multi-site deployment coordination, store staff training on bulk cashing/returns, vendor escalation handling, and hardware inventory management.
Retail In-Store & Checkout Operations:
Drive store checkout hardware compliance across 100% of retail tills.
Manage the migration and stabilization of the UPOS and RFID Till Reader application.
Optimize store-level bulk cashing billing rates to maintain target performance (>93%)
Deploy, calibrate, and maintain EAS Security Gates across 30+ store locations to ensure loss prevention accuracy (> 85% accuracy target).
Validate RFID return journey workflows and digital order EPC traceability.
Warehouse & Supply Chain Logistics:
Oversee automated RFID inbound reading tunnels across warehouses (NCAR, Malur, WCAR) ensuring high reading accuracy (> 96%) and high tunnel uptime (99%).
Maintain and optimize warehouse ECOM sorters, outbound tunnels, and handheld scanning equipment (Zebra MC34 refresh support).
Preventive Maintenance & Store Support:
Conduct quarterly hardware audits, tag sensitivity reviews, and antenna recalibration runs.
Resolve L2/L3 RFID-related helpdesk tickets within agreed SLA response times.
