Role Overview

As an Industrialization Intern, you will work closely with industrialization specialists and supplier teams to support the transition of products from initial design into scalable mass production. You will assist in applying Decathlon’s Industrialization Methodology to meet Quality, Cost, Lead Time, and Sustainability targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Industrialization Planning & Execution:

    • Assist in tracking industrialization action plans and project milestones across key production stages.

    • Help verify technical documentation (Techpacks) to ensure manufacturing feasibility at supplier sites.

  2. Process Optimization & Production Support:

    • Learn and assist in implementing risk analysis methodologies (e.g., PFMEA, 3-OKs, SPC).

    • Support efficiency tracking (OEE/OWE) and cycle time evaluations on the shop floor.

    • Help monitor energy/water consumption per unit to align with sustainability goals.

  3. Product Validation & Quality Support:

    • Assist in preparing homologation documents and verifying Master Samples against production standards.

    • Collaborate with Quality Specialists to help update supplier Control Plans.

  4. Supplier Maturity & Continuous Improvement:

    • Support audits and reviews regarding supplier technical readiness and industrial compliance.

    • Maintain digital records and industrial performance scorecards.

  • In-depth exposure to manufacturing processes and industrial quality standards.

  • Practical understanding of Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, and Process Stability tools.

  • Project management experience in an international retail/production environment.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Familiarity with technical drawings, Techpacks, or basic manufacturing processes.

  • Passion for hands-on production environments, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
